Jeri Williams for Portland!

“Jeri is an exceptional individual who has the intelligence, experience, and compassion to work with Portlanders to make our city a better place for everyone. If you have not met her, please do, because you will find she is the Best Choice, by far, to serve on City Council!” - Tom Potter, Mayor of Portland Jan. 2005 - December 2008

Jeri Williams for Portland City Council (seat #4)

My name is Jeri Williams and I am running for City Council seat #4. Portland is an incredible city full of wonderful natural resources and great amenities like stellar transportation options and environmental practices. But the best resources in Portland are the Portlanders themselves! Unlike many other cities Portland is still growing and along with that growth come growing pains.

After 17 years of working in the Portland communities on many important issues as an activist, organizer and program coordinator for the City of Portland I am more than qualified to be your next City Council Commissioner. I bring a unique experience to serving as your next City Commissioner as I have worked with Government from the outside for so many years in collaboration to make Portland both livable but also equitable. As the program coordinator for the Diversity and Civic Leadership programs I have spent the last five years helping to bring many new voices to the decision making tables at the city which has enriched our ability for more equitable policies and practices to serve all Portlanders.

Jeri Williams a human trafficked and rape survivor, a mother, a grandmother, a survivor of domestic violence, a city employee, an advocate for environment and women’s issues, an advocate for people of color, a voice against violence and hate crimes, a voice for those homeless, trafficked, and the LGBTQ community and most importantly a voice for Portland on all levels and issues...

Jeri Williams is a new candidate making headlines as the first trafficked survivor running for elected office but in the end she will have been the candidate that understood the people because she has lived it, survived it and has stood through the storm.

Together with the support from the community, she will continue being your voice in Portland City Hall! Click here for the Issues Jeri will be addressing!
